It's customary to line up a report book of my assignments, but this time I wanted something that wasn't just a simple direct printout, but had some echoes of the work.
So for the cover I chose mirrored acrylic to echo the material I've been using, and I also made a three-dimensional structure for the ocean waves to present a piece of mirror in the book. In addition, I also chose mirror for the connection between each page, so that when the light hits the book, it looks like the light and shadow of the artwork.
The leaf lights are made of paper, and the connection between the pages is chosen from the techniques used in the work.

Different light sources reflect different light on the ceiling.Light and shadow make different patterns on the waves
Regarding the material for the waves, maybe try using acrylic. Maybe it would be more translucent and the light effect would be different. The current laser cut boards are rougher and more fragile, more suited as a test model than a finished product. If it is designed at the beginning, then there is no need to leave openings on the sides, so that the overall structure will be more stable if it is welded directly.

It becomes apparent during the turning process that the glued structure is not really stable, causing the angle to change easily when turning.
In fact, the best way should never be glued, so you should think about what kind of structure can hold it in place, rather than using glue at the first thought.
The centre shaft of the wave structure should be made of iron bar that ensure a straight line. Alternatively, another line can be added as a lock to determine the angle of rotation of the original pieces as well as to hold them in place. Right now just gluing is actually a bit less stable.

It is important to consider at the very beginning of the design how the wires should be placed, whether they should be hidden or how they should be part of the design.
How the material durability of the leaf paper can be improved, consider changing to waterproof and durable DuPont paper.
How the platform of the balanced structure would be better designed, it is still a bit unstable.
There are too many irregularly curved lines, which can easily make the whole work look chaotic, how can this be improved?
Consider using less concrete leaves and flowers for the design, and use other presentation methods to make the plant more design-oriented, such as geometric origami low polygon structures.
