First time making n metal workshop.
After thinking about the base of the stand for a while, I had attempted to bend out the base and branches using just an iron bar, but it seemed a bit difficult and it was easy to get an unstable centre of gravity. So in the end, I opted to use a round piece as the base.
It was just right to fix the main branch to the base first for easy soldering. In addition, the choice of different thicknesses of iron rods to go for the branches, more rhythmic. First attempt at soldering. Need to find the fixing point to maintain the stability of one's hand as well as make sure to align the point to be welded.
For the platform of the balancing structure made some attempts, at first used a large iron sheet, but too big will hinder the swing of the balancing structure. The smaller pieces were also still a bit large and not very aesthetically pleasing. In the end, one end of the bar was hammered flat and grooves were drilled into it so that it could be used as a support for the counterbalance.
Welding this platform to the bracket to keep it level was also a difficult task though, and I spent a lot of time trying to find ways to stabilise my hand to keep it horizontal. But in the end there were a few welds that weren't as horizontal as they should have been and I had to take pliers to break them right.
