Based on the exploration of the
relationship between people, objects and space, I wanted to find a design where
the role of the object is a part of the relationship between the three, so that
all of them can be closely connected. That's the first question, which is how
the three are connected and what is the best choice for this object.
Since I wanted to choose lamps as the main subject of these, I did my research on the importance of light to people and the history of the use of light by people, and how lamps relate to space. So this sums up the question of why lamps, and how they can be used as a medium to link up the lamps themselves with the people and the space.
And then to the user group I am targeting, and the ultimate goal I want to achieve is that people and things become friends or even things can become people's pets, to give life to the things I create! How the object interacts with people then becomes the third part of the question. What I'm thinking about at the moment is probably the way in which human physical contact goes about making things dynamic in order to establish a relationship between the two.
Lastly, I have selected ingo maurer for my research so far, and am currently doing some research through library books as well as online, and hope to have the opportunity to enjoy his work offline afterwards. In terms of material, the light transmitting part will be researched with paper as the main consideration, but of course we will also try different materials to find out what can achieve the best effect. For the frame needs to see what is more suitable for the structure.
That's probably what I've been thinking about so far, and will follow up with more depth.

Object — Humans — Space
Role of objects. Closely connectoin.
Light. Light & Space. Rays/Shadows.
It's important we land on a topic where there is a wealth of written critical material about light in space and light's role on people/atmosphere.
Ref suggestions:
Olafur Elliasson: Light, Abstraction on Netflix (Ask library for help). Climate Change, Light, Geometry.
'In Praise of Shadows' Jun'ichirō Tanizaki.
Understand colour
Understand qualities of natural light
Understand science of impact of light on the eyes and brain. Check Wellcome Trust resource.
Seek different global cultural persepectives on how light is part of life.”)
