42 SOL LeWiTT UPSIDE DOWN IN TATE MORDERN

The first thing that struck me as I walked into the room where this piece is located was the sense of space and atmosphere that he brought to the room. It made me think about how I have always been concerned about the volume and placement of light making a difference.

It has to be said that in a clean white space a light work with such a large frame gives a great impact, the giant object is naturally able to give some sense of oppression, coupled with its placement in a very high position, completely suspended from the ceiling, which makes us have to look up to appreciate this work.

Everyone who walks into this room unconsciously looks up, but the closer they get the more they look up, with a sense of looking into the future. And standing in the corner watching all the viewers and the work together, one feels the contrast between the people and the giants, the people seem to become smaller, with a feeling of looking up at the stars and the universe. And its own cool white lighting is also the key to create this sense of technological atmosphere, making the whole space more bright and futuristic.
