The Lens Light collection is made from repurposed waste lenses from the eyewear sector.
(Yair repurposes discarded lenses from the eyewear industry to create a new material for his design objects. Emphasising the concept of light inspired by the original lenses, Yair is set to unveil a fresh assortment of pendant, table, and wall lights, along with his innovative Delerex® sunglasses frames.
“In my process, I create both the material and the final piece. The material is at the core, undergoing modifications and refinements to suit each individual piece or series of objects.”)
I think this is a recycling project worthy of reference and learning. It is a very complete recycling design to use the light and bright material characteristics of the item itself to generate new materials and then new products.
