The work pushes the boundaries of traditional 3D printing, with a new series of material textures based on a faster, less risky and therefore more cost effective way of printing. The products are printed with three-times recycled polymer, a feat usually not attempted due to the materials inherently unstable nature.
It can be seen that some of the designers' inspiration comes from weaving. I think this is indeed a different way from the traditional layer-by-layer printing, which can print more complex products with more spatial structure.
